Professor Andrea Mata\u010di\u0107&nbsp;Cayley has devoted her career to bringing perpetrators of crimes against humanity, including cultural heritage, to justice. Her lecture, organized under the auspices of IALC, presents a summary of this little-known but very important aspect of prosecuting war crimes. She is one of the pioneers in the field.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-297e7c7d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"297e7c7d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-966f641 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"966f641\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Professor Cayley<\/strong> worked for the United Nations as a war crimes prosecutor for over 20 years. She began her career with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia as it was just opening and worked there for over eleven years. For four years, she served as a legal advisor in the Courts of Cambodia. Since 2022, she has been a coordinator and expert advisor for the Atrocity Crimes Advisory group, the official response to war crimes in Ukraine. She works directly with the Office of the Prosecutor GeneralUkraine advising on the prosecution of cases involving the destruction of cultural heritage. She is an expert advisor to UNESCO.<br \/>Andrea has taught law at the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova Law School. She has served as a Senior Legal Fellow with the McCain Institute and the Center for Justice and Accountability. She has authored numerous publications on war crimes and international human rights.<br \/>Andrea has a BA from Columbia University, an MA from the University of Zagreb, a JD from Temple University, and a PhD from Leiden University.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c866466 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\"
