Our CAEN-NORMANDIE club celebrated its 30th anniversary on 3rd and 4th June 2026.
Just over 80 members attended the event. Founded in 1996 by Françoise LECOUTOUR and a few friends, our club has continued to grow, always with the aim of promoting a spirit of mutual support amongst women as well as the development and sharing of cultural knowledge in its broadest sense.
Tours and walks around the city of Caen, which celebrated its 1,000th anniversary last year, were organised for everyone.
The Gala evening took place in Deauville, in the magical setting of the ‘Franciscaines’, a former convent of the Franciscan community of Notre Dame de la Pitié in Deauville, which has been remarkably transformed and renovated.
The presence of Pascale ANDERSON MAIR, Vice-President for the Northern Hemisphere, was an honour which all the Lyceum members greatly appreciated.
Jacqueline SUTTIN’s presence was also noted. Jacqueline shared with us some memorable anecdotes, not without humour, from when she had visited CAEN in her capacity as President of the Paris Club.
A jazzy atmosphere, courtesy of Claire Gaudin’s band, set the tone for the evening, whilst Deauville caterer Henri Morel treated the guests to a delicious spread.
Everyone expressed their enthusiasm and joy at being reunited and sharing such wonderful moments.
Béatrice AUMONT.
President.
