The International Association of Lyceum Clubs held its triennial Congress in Morocco during the last week of May 2022. The event provided a valuable opportunity for members from Lyceum Clubs around the world to meet, socialise, and exchange ideas. Carefully organised by the Lyceum Club of Rabat, with the support of the IALC, the programme featured a two-day pre-Congress tour to Fez, Volubilis, and Meknes, followed by a three-day post-Congress tour to Marrakesh and the Agafay Desert.
Held every three years, the Congress represents a key moment in the life of the Lyceum. It is the occasion on which the International Central Bureau (ICB) convenes Presidents of the various Clubs for working sessions to define the Federation’s strategic orientations, take decisions, and welcome new member Clubs. Proposals, including the election of ICB members, are then presented at the General Meeting and voted on by the delegates.
In addition, the International Lyceum Club of Rabat organised a rich programme of social events, including cultural visits, conferences, and receptions, culminating in a Gala Dinner on the final evening.
